Coastal Kings II made a strong statement in their first ever UPSL Division 1 match, and the performance did not go unnoticed.

Following the club’s 5-0 victory over Ocala Institute, three Kings II players have been named to the UPSL Florida North Division 1 Team of the Week for Week 1. Waswa Drajoru, Hector Hernandez, and JJ Stein were all recognized after standout performances in the dominant opening match. The recognition comes after a night where Kings II controlled the match from start to finish, delivering a convincing result against a team that entered the game with a strong recent track record. Waswa Drajoru and Hector Hernandez each scored two goals, helping power the Kings’ offense throughout the match. Hernandez struck twice in the first half to help build a commanding lead, while

Drajoru added two more in the second half to seal the result. Behind much of that attacking success was JJ Stein, who recorded three assists on the night and played a central role in the team’s buildup and chance creation.
The result was particularly notable considering the opponent. Ocala Institute finished first in their Florida Central Zone 2 division, posting an impressive 9-1 record during the previous campaign. Entering the match, Ocala had gone ten games without defeat, making Kings II’s 5-0 victory even more significant. The performance not only secured the first win in Kings II history, but also handed

Ocala Institute their first loss in ten matches in what could
only be described as a complete dismantling. For a newly
formed squad still building chemistry, the early recognition
highlights the talent within the Kings II roster and reinforces
the competitive standard the club is aiming to maintain as
the season progresses.
With momentum from their opening performance and multiple players already earning league recognition,
Kings II will now look to carry that form forward as the
UPSL Division 1 season continues.
