Coastal Kings II Battle Through Monsoon Conditions to Win 7-2 Over CH4
Some games are clean. Some games are pretty. This was neither.
On May 2, Coastal Kings II headed south down I-95 to take on CH4 and walked away with a commanding 7-2 win in a match played through heavy rain from start to finish.

The result moved Kings II to 4 wins and 2 losses on the season and gave the group an important response after their loss to Inter United.
The conditions were difficult before the match even began. Rain followed the team throughout the trip and continued through the full 90 minutes. But Kings II handled the moment well, adjusted to the conditions, and found ways to create chances throughout the match.
The goals were spread across the team, with Waswa, Tyrese, Nahun, and others contributing in the attack. Multiple players found the back of the net, and multiple players added assists, creating one of the more complete attacking performances of the season.
For Kings II, it was more than just three points. It was a response. It was a step forward. It was momentum heading into a major home match against Jax United in two weeks.
Coach’s Notes
“What a monsoon of a game. It was downpouring the entire trip here and continued through the match, whistle to whistle.
The boys responded well to the loss against Inter United by getting back on the board and earning three points. It was good to see the goals spread around the team. Multiple guys with goals, multiple guys with assists. We have a big game coming up against Jax United at home in two weeks, and this allows us to ride some momentum into that match.”
KINGS II host 1st placed Jax United May 9th. This match different from the matches plyed in Memorial Stadium will be played at Jennifer Ross Soccer complex. This is a great oppotunity to take KINGS soccer into the community and play at a community park.
