Earned Every Week

Recognition like this isn’t handed out. It’s earned, week after week, performance after performance.
And this week, Coastal Kings FC sees two of its own named to Team of the Week following a statement performance against NC Ballers, Zack Hargreaves and Kyle Simpson.
For Hargreaves, this is nothing new. This marks his fifth Team of the Week nomination, a reflection of the standard he’s set and continues to meet. As a team captain, his influence goes beyond the stat sheet. He sets the tone, drives the tempo, and delivers when it matters most. Consistency at this level isn’t easy. Opponents know who he is. They game plan for him. And still, he finds ways to impact the match. That’s leadership. That’s reliability. That’s why his name keeps showing up.
On the other side, this week marks a first. For Simpson, it’s his introduction. At just 15 years old, he stepped into a match against experienced competition and didn’t just hold his own, he changed the game. Two goals, each showing a different side of his ability, determination, composure, and instinct. One fought for. One executed. Both earned. It’s rare to see a player that young step into this level and make that kind of impact. It’s even rarer to see them do it with the kind of confidence and presence Simpson showed.
Different stages of the journey. Same result.
Two players recognized for performances that drove the Kings forward.
And if this week is any indication, it won’t be the last time either of their names are called.
