Coastal Kings FC Extend Winning Streak with 2–1 Victory Over Asheville FC
Savannah, GA – The Coastal Kings FC continued their dream start in UPSL competition, earning their second consecutive victory with a 2–1 win over Asheville FC in Week Two of the Mid Atlantic South Division.
The match was a hard-fought battle against an Asheville side known for consistency and grit. Having finished 5th in the Spring of 2024 and 4th in the Fall of 2024, Asheville also advanced to the Sweet 16 of the Spring 2024 National Playoffs, proving themselves as a program that performs when it matters. The Kings, however, showed composure beyond their young UPSL tenure, securing the full three points with a comeback win after being down a goal at half time.
With the victory, the Kings remain top of the table heading into Week Three, where they will face their toughest challenge yet: SCU, a side that has dominated the division for years. SCU’s record speaks for itself — finishing 1st in Spring 2024, 3rd in Fall 2024, 1st in Spring 2023, 1st in Fall 2023, 1st in both Spring and Fall of 2022, and 1st again in Spring 2021. With a dynasty of success unmatched in the division, SCU will provide a true test of the Kings’ early momentum.
