Coastal Kings FC Celebrate First-Ever Victory in UPSL Debut

Savannah, GA – Coastal Kings FC made history this past weekend, earning the club’s first-ever UPSL win in front of 175 fans at Calvary Day School’s Specialty Sports Complex Stadium. Competing in the Mid Atlantic South Division, the Kings opened their debut season with a thrilling 5–3 victory over Mint Hill FC.

It took less than three minutes for Coastal Kings to write their name into the record books. At 2:15, Zach Hargreaves struck the first goal in club history, finishing off a pinpoint assist from Caio Lara. The early breakthrough set the tone for a free-flowing, attacking performance.

Lara later added a goal of his own, while Erick “Eddie” Sanchez joined the scoresheet. The match’s standout moment came from Shannon Blake, who unleashed a thunderous long-range strike that fans described as “a missile.” Hargreaves completed his brace to cap off a memorable afternoon for the Savannah side.

Mint Hill responded with goals of their own, but the Kings’ attacking firepower proved decisive. With the win, Coastal Kings FC not only secured their first three points but also made an emphatic introduction to Savannah’s soccer community.

The Kings now sit atop the Mid Atlantic South Division table heading into their Week 2 clash against Asheville FC of North Carolina.
